Anti-Thyroglobulin IgG
Anti-thyroglobulin antibodies have been implicated in thyroid autoimmune disease. Approximately 10% of healthy individuals have thyroglobulin autoantibodies at low levels. In many cases of Hashimoto's disease and Graves' disease thyroid peroxidase autoantibodies are elevated.
ProcedureThe anti-thyroglobulin assay is performed on the Immulite 2000 analyzer system using highly purified thyroglobulin coated beads. The assay is calibrated against WHO 1st IRP 65/93. This test has been cleared or approved for diagnostic use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
