For the quantitative measurement of thyrotropin (TSH) in serum, as an aid in the clinical assessment of thyroid status.
ProcedureThe thyroid stimulating hormone assay is performed on the Immulite 2000 analyzer system using beads coated with a mouse anti-thyroid stimulating hormone. The assay is calibrated against WHO 2nd IRP 80/558. This test has been cleared or approved for diagnostic use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
